1. Study on Rhenium Containing Single Crystal Blades

Rhenium containing single crystal blades significantly improve their temperature resistance and creep strength. The second generation single crystal alloys represented by PWA1484 from PW, CMSX-4 from RR, and Rene ′ N5 from GE, compared with the first generation single crystal alloys, increased their working temperature by 30 degree by adding 3 percent rhenium and increasing the content of cobalt and molybdenum elements appropriately, achieving a good balance between endurance strength and antioxidant corrosion resistance.
